Kevin Stokes, Head of Guy Carpenter’s Florida Business Unit, spoke about the state of the property market post-2011 and Josh Everdell, U.S. Casualty Leader for Guy Carpenter, provided an update on the casualty market post-2011.

A panel discussion, moderated by Bill Kennedy (Guy Carpenter’s CEO of Global Analytics & Advisory), featured Jessica Leong (Lead Casualty Actuary), Jack Snyder (Americas Business Development Manager) and John Tedeschi (Head of GC Analytics) (all of Guy Carpenter) reviewing trends around catastrophe model changes, tightening reserves and rating agency assertiveness.

Bill Kennedy later offered a view of alternative capacity, and David Priebe provided an update on Guy Carpenter’s view of capacity, pricing and syndication.
