In an interview with Captive International, Rob Collins, Managing Director and North American Sales Leader, Guy Carpenter, discussed captives and the importance of working alongside trusted partners amid the increasing opportunities provided by new technologies.
Speaking on the vast amount of data available to brokers, Collins said: “The world is getting riskier and there is more and more data out there which clients need to digest and analyze. That only increases our clients’ need for quality independent advice and analytics.”
In response to arguments that brokers today are being disintermediated, Collins noted that the role of brokers is actually getting stronger, and that their advice is becoming more valuable.
Guy Carpenter collaborates with numerous captive managers and fronting companies to inform them of the different options and cost structures available and to help them identify a solution that matches their needs.
